A solid quote template standardizes your outbound documents and cuts repetitive work. Quotely ships 12+ industry presets plus full customization—this guide focuses on building templates.
Start from the template library
Open Templates and browse cards for software, construction, marketing, and more. Each preset includes headers, party info, line tables, fee summaries, and payment blocks.
Click “Use preset” to clone into your account, then add or remove fields without designing layout from scratch.

Drag, drop, and style
The builder has three zones: field library (business, input, selection), A4 canvas, and properties panel. Drag product tables onto the canvas and configure columns, index visibility, and subtotal formulas.
Table styling supports theme presets plus custom header fonts, colors, and zebra stripes—so PDF export matches your brand. Switch page size, orientation, and currency in the canvas toolbar.
Place formula fields in the summary area: once “subtotal = qty × price” is set, quoting only requires business data. Save the structure when finished.

Template ready—start quoting
After saving, create a quote from the template. Pull customer info from your catalog and enter line items—or connect the product library later.
